Southern Maryland Sailing Association (SMSA) sponsored racing up the Patuxent River.

COURSE: Start is abeam the Solomons boardwalk gazebo near SMSA "S".  Race up the Patuxent River to the vicinity of St Leonard Creek Mark 1 Green at (38̊23.053N, 76̊30.166W).  Finish is opposite side of the river near SMSA "L". Official distance is 9.70nm.
