Boat: R/22 "PATRIOT X" Sail Number 2201
Dock call is 0800 where Patriot is parked in the dry storage lot on the north end of the marina. There is a gated door entrance between the double cranes & bathrooms located behind the “Little Coney” food stand. This is a long distance race and expected to last no longer than 7 hours (time limit).
Race Distance and Course: The full course is 16.045 nautical miles. If a short course is signaled before the start, the course will consist of 2 laps, each 5.114 nm. If a sound signal is given on completion of lap one, the race is finished. If no signal is given, proceed to the second lap. Times will be taken at the end of lap one, which the Race Committee may opt to use in the event of dying winds in lap 2.
Street parking is advised, but anywhere not marked by blue lines is ok to park.

"Sloop Tavern Yacht Club is excited to announce our 7th Annual Women at the Helm Race Series. The first in the series is Women at the Helm: Going the Distance, a typical buoy race with the goal of sending racers on a long course to maximize sailing time and fun!
Awards will be announced at the Jolly Roger Taproom at Maritime Pacific/Rooftop Brewing in Ballard (1111 NW Ballard Way, Seattle, WA 98107). Social event begins after the race or around 4:00pm with awards at approximately 6:00pm. This location will welcome family members of all ages. Parking can be found on the east and west sides of Jolly Roger. Street parking is available on Ballard Way and on 14th Ave and in the H-Mart parking lot."
